Converting power The transformer converts the standard 230V from the socket to a 24V safe low voltage. Transformers are available in various wattages, Suslight works with transformers of 36W, 60W and 100W.
Connection If a WiFi socket 230V has been chosen, then plug the plug of the transformer into the WiFi socket 230V (and the plug of the WiFi socket, of course, into the splash-proof socket :)). If you have opted for a Dusk to dawn 24V/Twilight switch, you plug the transformer into a splash-proof socket. You then connect the Dusk to dawn 24V/Twilight switch to the transformer. The transformer is part of the 24 Volt cable system.
Load capacity It is important to calculate the total wattage of all 24V lamps that you wish to connect to a transformer. This way you know exactly which transformer you should use for your garden lighting plan. Pay attention! We always recommend not to load the transformer more than 80% of the total number of watts of the connected garden lamps. For example, if you want to place 10 garden lamps of 4.0W each, the total wattage is 40W. Then the use of a transformer of 60W is sufficient.
Mounting The transformer is IP67 and suitable for outdoor use. Always mount the transformer horizontally!
